Hoskinson has to caution That IOG would not resubmit the proposal if it was rejected and that failure could result in layoffs and damage to the network’s research-based identity.
He is now considering whether to register as a DRep himself, a move that would give him a direct vote in Cardano’s on-chain governance system.
It is also considering hosting a mini-conference before the 2027 governance cycle for alignment Owners On the proposed constitutional reforms.
What could a governance review mean?
The scope of the review suggests Hoskinson is looking for structural solutions rather than short-term fixes.
Drawing on models from thousands of DAOs could lead to adjustments in how Cardano lays out its roadmap and handles conflicts at the executive level through its constitution.
Payment comes after a period of continuation tension Within the Cardano community on the direction of governance.
Previous friction has included disagreements over how IOG deals with the Cardano Foundation, with Hoskinson calling for structural changes in how the organization operates.
