Ondo Finance founder Nathan Allman has died unexpectedly at the age of 32



Allman has been a huge proponent of blockchain-based technology and has raised the RWAs sector to new heights.

Founder and CEO of Ondo Finance, Nathan Allman, has unexpectedly passed away at the age of 32, the company announced in a statement. The cause of death was not revealed.

Describing Allman as the driving force behind the company, Ondo credited the team with his vision, leadership and belief in using technology to build a more open and accessible financial system.

Company He said His impact on both the company and the broader cryptocurrency industry “cannot be overstated.” Allman founded Ondo in 2021 after previously working on digital asset initiatives at Goldman Sachs. After graduating from Brown University, he helped establish Ondo as one of the leading players in the tokenized real assets (RWA) sector.

During his leadership of the company, Ondo introduced several key products, including USDY, a yield-yielding stablecoin, OUSG, a tokenized US treasury fund, and tokenized stocks through Ondo Global Markets.

Following his death, Ondo announced that President Ian De Bode would take over as CEO. According to the company, De Bode has overseen Ondo’s strategy, products and day-to-day operations for more than two years and has the full support of the leadership team.

“We will continue to build on what Nate started. This is the most important way we know how to honor him.”

Condolences quickly poured in from across the cryptocurrency industry following Allman’s death. Former Binance CEO CZ described him as an “RWA pioneer,” while former Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Chris Giancarlo described him as “extraordinarily talented.” Meanwhile, Meltem Demirors, founder of Crucible, remembers Allman as “kind, thoughtful and caring.”
