Brixton Metals launches 2026 Thorne Project exploration program, British Columbia – World Resources Magazine


Brixton Metals Company (TSXV: BBB; OTCC: PBXVBBC said drilling has commenced on a fully funded 10,000-metre 2026 exploration program focused on copper and gold at its wholly-owned Thorn Project in northwestern British Columbia, Canada. The Thorn Project is located approximately 90 km east-northeast of Juneau, Alaska, and 120 km west of Dyess Lake, British Columbia. Drilling activities began on June 1; 249 meters were completed in three holes.

2026 Thorne Project Exploration Objectives – Camp Creek: Expand the known near-surface area of ​​high sulphate content of copper, gold and silver by drilling to the north and south.

Camp Creek: Complete an updated Camp Creek porphyry mineral resource estimate.

Catalyst, Tempest, Sentinel and Icy: expanding the known boundaries of mineralization.

Golden Hunter’s goal: To advance the first resource through progressive drilling and drilling.

Camp Creek Corridor and Eastern Targets: Using drone magnetic surveying, mapping and soil geochemistry to optimize 2026 drilling targets; The drone’s magnetic survey is 70% complete so far.

Camp Creek and Trapper: Conduct mineral geological testing to support mineral resource upgrades.

This fully funded program is designed to advance several priority objectives through drilling, geophysics and field work, while supporting progress toward future mineral resource estimates at Camp Creek and Trapper.

Brixton’s 2026 exploration plans at the Thorn Project center around developing the Camp Creek high-sulfur gold system, Catalyst and Tempest porphyry, and a copper porphyry target through a fully funded 10,000-meter drilling program and a 16-line continuous magnetic survey.

Initial drilling focuses on the Camp Creek porphyry-pyroclastic system, which includes a shallow, high-sulphurization gold zone and a deeper porphyry copper-gold-silver-molybdenum system. Shallow drilling in the high sulfur zone evaluates the continuity, orientation and controls of mineralized structures identified through previous drilling and surface work. This golden system includes the Glenfiddich, Northside and Talisker vein systems, as well as the Oban Breccia. The Camp Creek 2026 program also aims to support future mineral resource estimation for both the high-sulfur and porphyry portions of this kilometer-sized system.

The 2026 drilling at Thorne will also focus on developing the recently discovered copper-gold porphyry, Catalyst and Tempest. Both porphyry systems show intermittent copper and gold mineralization from the surface to depths of more than 500 metres. The IP survey conducted in 2025 also identifies extensive zones of high charge potential 1 km wide, which, combined with a 1 km wide soil copper footprint, indicate the possibility of large-scale mineralized systems within this northeast-trending corridor, called the Camp Creek Corridor.

The eastern targets, including Sentinel, Icy, Val and Bing, represent a growing group of copper-gold targets in the eastern portion of the Thorn Project. Sentinel is the most advanced target within this group and is defined by an extensive alteration signature, porphyry-style stock veins, and copper-molybdenum geochemical anomalies at the surface. Rock samples at Sentinel yielded up to 1.54% copper and 0.54% molybdenum, supporting its selection as a priority target for follow-on drilling.

Icy and Bing show alteration, mineralization and structural characteristics consistent with porphyry systems. Drilling at the Bing and Icy Targets was conducted primarily by Newmont Mining Corp. In 1965 and 1966. At Bing, drilling identified copper and molybdenum mineralization associated with porphyry-style quartz veining and potash alteration, with the strongest mineralization hosted in monzonite quartz and porphyry feldspar. Three major alteration zones have been identified, with copper values ​​ranging from 1,000 to 30,000 ppm in local areas. At Glacier, drilling and surface sampling encountered weak to moderate copper and molybdenum mineralization, including widespread pyrite, localized chalcopyrite, and molybdenite associated with quartz veins near feldspar dikes, porphyry biotite, and diorite contacts.

Collectively, the geological and geochemical data indicate the presence of a porphyry corridor with the potential for multiple porphyry cores. 2026 field programs are progressing for magnetic surveying, mapping, prospecting and geochemical sampling to constrain target geometry and support drilling planning.
