Norwegian floating production solutions provider BW Offshore has unveiled a new operational milestone for a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, which has been deployed on a giant Santos-operated gas project off the coast of Australia..

BW Offshore has revealed the completion of the Interim Performance Testing (IPT) for FPSO PW Opalas part of Santos’ commissioning programme Barossa LNG Offshore project north of Australia. The Barossa project is a joint venture between Santos (50%), PRISM Energy International Australia – formerly SK E&S – (37.5%), and JERA (12.5%).
