HydroGraph Clean Power has added Modern Dispersions (MDI), a supplier of thermoplastic composites and concentrates, to its network of compounding partners, enhancing the company’s ability to deliver graphene-enhanced materials in industrial markets across North America.

The company said that the certification came after a rigorous technical and commercial qualification phase to ensure that MDI devices are capable of processing carbon materials, including nanocarbons, and converting them into polymer systems with consistent performance and quality control.

“Achieving HydroGraph Composites Partner certification reflects our ongoing commitment to advanced materials innovation,” said Jan Kuzma, vice president of sales at MDI. “Our experience working with carbon nanomaterials and specialty concentrates puts us in a good position to help customers integrate graphene into commercial polymer applications.”

Graphene-filled polymer products blend tiny carbon sheets with plastic materials to enhance strength, conductivity and durability. They are used in industrial components, protective coatings and linings used in industrial environments, including mines.

MDI currently works with industries in many markets, including agricultural films, food packaging, consumer electronics and textiles.
