The 660 MW Nordseecluster A cluster will consist of 44 15 MW Vestas wind turbines, all of which are expected to be installed by the end of 2026. The offshore wind farm, the first phase of the 1.6 GW Nordseecluster A cluster development, is expected to be fully operational in early 2027.

The second phase, Nordseecluster B, will add another 900 MW of capacity, bringing the total project size to 1.6 GW. Foundation installation at the second site is scheduled to begin next year, followed by the installation of 60 15 MW Vestas turbines in 2028.

Nordseecluster B is expected to reach commercial operation in early 2029.

The 1.6 GW Nordseecluster is located approximately 50 kilometers north of Juist Island and is jointly owned by RWE (51%) and Norges Bank Investment Management (49%), with RWE responsible for construction and long-term operation across the full life cycle.
