A massive pile of data stolen from millions of people’s devices has been added to a major hack database.
The dataset contains 56 million unique email addresses and 124 million unique passwords across hundreds of millions of records, collected from various malware sources to steal information.
Individuals can Checks If their email appears in the records on the Have I Been Pwned website to see if they are affected.
Passwords from the collection have also been added to Have I Been Pwned’s searchable password database.
Users can search for specific passwords on the site to check if they have been compromised, but the actual passwords do not appear when searching via email.
This is a collage to update of compromised credentials highlights the ongoing threat of malware attacks.
Users are strongly advised to immediately change passwords on each affected account and enable two-factor authentication where supported.
