542,377 Americans Warned After Hackers Hit New Jersey Healthcare Company – Personal, Medical Records Now At Risk


A diagnostics company that provides testing and laboratory services to healthcare providers said it was involved in a major cybersecurity incident that may have exposed the records of hundreds of thousands of individuals.

This investigation revealed that an unauthorized actor gained limited access to data on the Centers’ systems between August 9, 2025 and August 14, 2025, at which time the unauthorized actor copied the data. The data was then reviewed by the Centers by third-party specialists to conduct an audit. We provide a detailed breakdown of the information in question to determine whether it is sensitive and who it relates to, and after third-party review, the Centers conducted a comprehensive internal review of records to verify the information and proceed with notifications.

Centers Lab says it is now urging affected individuals to take advantage of one free credit report per year from each of the three major credit reporting bureaus: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. Currently, the company says it has strengthened its data privacy and security defenses to prevent a similar event from occurring in the future.
