Clean Energy HydroGraph (CSE: HG) and Western International Gas and Cylinders HydroGraph has signed an agreement to supply acetylene gas on a long-term basis for HydroGraph’s graphene production facility, which will be located in Belleville, Texas.
Under the agreement, HydroGraph will purchase acetylene directly from Western International via a pipeline for an initial term of 10 years, with options to renew. Acetylene is the feedstock for the company’s Hyperion reactors, which convert hydrocarbons into pure synthetic graphene products.
The two companies also signed a lease agreement for the land located at Western International’s Belleville facility. The site will host HydroGraph’s new manufacturing facility.
Kjersten Pryor, CEO of HydroGraph, called the agreement a “major milestone.” “Western International is an ideal partner for HydroGraph, combining extensive feedstock production capabilities with deep operational expertise in safety, permitting, compliance and infrastructure management,” she added.
“The dedicated pipeline connection and long-term supply agreement with HydroGraph creates a strong foundation for domestic production of advanced materials while leveraging existing infrastructure designed to ensure continuous, safe and reliable delivery of raw materials,” said Brian Renouf, President of Western International.
When completed, the facility is expected to have an area of approximately 3,700 square metres2At an estimated cost of 5 million US dollars. HydroGraph said it is targeting a production capacity of 325 tons of the leading fractal graphene per year.
The site is expected to open in the first half of 2027.
