Nevada King Gold Corp (TSXV: Nkj; OTCC: NKGFF) Received approval from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for the fifth and most comprehensive amendment to its Plan of Operations (PoO Mod 5) over the 130 km 100% owned area2 Atlanta gold mine project in eastern Nevada.
Highlights: PoO Mod 5 Approval: The amendment approves an additional 78 reverse circulation (RC) drilling sites and 404 rotary air jet (RAB) drilling sites, enabling the company to aggressively pursue major mineral targets and test extensions throughout the property. This approval is based on the Notice of Permit of Intent to Drill the West Rim Target, which was announced on April 28, 2026.
Mobilization of Third Rig: To accelerate the pace of discovery, the company has secured a third rig, an additional drilling rig that is now being mobilized to the site, joining the RC and RAB drilling rigs already operating in Atlanta. Both rigs will be operated continuously in two 12-hour shifts, significantly increasing the pace of exploratory drilling.
FULLY FUNDED: With approximately $18.1 million in cash and cash equivalents, Nevada King remains fully funded to complete the 40,000-meter RC Phase 4 drilling program, of which approximately 12,000 meters have been drilled to date.
“Our team is excited to accelerate exploration in Atlanta as we return to many areas where previous drilling encountered gold and silver metallic objections,” said John Sklodnik, CEO of Nevada King. “We continue to enjoy tremendous benefits from our Nevada location, not only from the attractive mineral endowment, but also from a clear and predictable permitting path. Our fifth consecutive amendment to the Plan of Operations demonstrates this permitting efficiency as well as the trusted relationship we have built with our regulators. We greatly appreciate the BLM’s continued support and its comprehensive review And effective, which was completed just two months after our formal introduction.
The 482 drilling sites approved today are primarily clustered in the target areas of Atlanta South, Silver Park and Western Rim, and the company has benefited from a combination of RAB and RC drilling. The company’s RAB drilling provides a fast, low-cost and efficient way to drill through overburden and test bedrock to identify mineralization and trace elements. At the same time, RC drilling will test targets identified through previous drilling and exploration work with the aim of intercepting economic mineralisation. The new total disturbance area under PoO Mod 5 is 21.1 acres, increasing the total area of the project to 73.4 acres.
Nevada King is focused on developing and growing the Atlanta Gold Mine Project located along the Battle Mountain trend in southeastern Nevada. The project hosts an NI 43-101 compliant drill-constrained oxide resource of 1.02 million ounces Au in measured and indicated grade (27.7 million tons at 1.14 g/t) as well as an inferred resource of 99,000 ounces Au (3.6 million tons at 0.84 g/t) based on US$2,200/oz Au and US$25/oz Ag.
