
The company announced the launch of a new platform, dubbed “Ripple Mint,” that gives institutional clients a single way to access, settle, redeem and manage RLUSD.
The main goal, she said, is to make digital dollars easier to access, integrate and operate at scale as stablecoins become more deeply integrated into trading, payments and treasury operations.
Drive Institutional Access for RLUSD
According to Ripple Mint’s official blog post Expands RLUSD can reach beyond traditional platform-based workflows by allowing institutions to manage the stablecoin either through a user interface or through software integrations.
With Ripple Mint, institutions can mint and redeem RLUSD directly from the issuer, link the stablecoin via supported blockchains, monitor funds throughout the full transaction lifecycle, and integrate RLUSD operations into their internal systems and workflows.
The rollout will not impact existing customers of the stablecoin, who will now be able to use the platform for both manual processes and automated integrations. The company also introduced new APIs and webhook notifications that allow customers to automate RLUSD workflows, inquire about transaction status throughout the minting and redemption process, access account balances programmatically, and receive real-time updates on important events such as receipt of fiat, mint processing, on-chain settlement, and payment completion.
Along with the launch of Ripple Mint, Ripple was also launched to make Strategic investment in Notabene, a company focused on regulated infrastructure for cross-chain transactions.
The two companies said they will work together to grow enterprise stablecoin payments by integrating RLUSD into Notabene Flow, the company’s B2B stablecoin payments platform. Focus will also be on exploring how a trusted payment license can complement Ripple payments.
The partnership brings together Ripple and RLUSD’s enterprise payments ecosystem with Notabene’s enterprise network, which is said to cover more than 2,300 connected institutions across more than 100 jurisdictions, serve more than 280 clients, and facilitate more than $2 trillion in annual transaction volume.
