A Treasury ship finds more work in Australia


Norwegian DOF Group is scheduled to commence a support services contract for subsea construction and precommissioning in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The Department of Finance announced the award of what is described as a major contract, worth between $50 million and $100 million, today, July 7, for subsea construction and pre-operation support services in northern Australian waters.

The scope of work includes the company’s internal project management, engineering support services, procurement and logistics.

The Skandi Inventor will be used for offshore operations, scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 and expected to last between 160 and 250 days.

Built in 2018, Scandi Inventor is 137.6 meters long and seats 120 people. It is designed by Marin Teknikk 6027.
