Alkane Resources, an Australia-based gold producer with projects in New South Wales and Sweden, released its third-quarter financial results, reporting profits of A$93 million — a record high, according to the press release.
“The company closed the quarter with cash and bullion worth A$362 million which will provide support to Alkane’s growth plans,” said Nick Erner, Alkane’s managing director. “Given the strong performance to date, we move into the second half of the year with momentum and are on track to achieve our 2026 production and cost guidance,” he added.
Results showed increased production across most metrics at Bjorkdal’s gold operations in Sweden and Kosterveld’s gold and antimony operations in Victoria, Australia. However, there was a reduction in production at Alkane’s Tomingley site in Australia, which the company said was “due to cessation of performance issues”, but added: “However, this was offset by increased tonnes of ore being developed.”
This strong quarter comes as gold producers continue to benefit from higher global prices.
