Another local company involved in the Indonesian natural gas project


West Natuna Exploration Limited (WNEL), a majority-owned subsidiary of Singapore-based natural gas company Conrad Asia Energy, has awarded PT PAL Indonesia a contract for the engineering, procurement, construction and transportation of the Conductor Support Framework (CSF) for the natural gas field in the West Natuna Sea offshore Indonesia.

The Mako gas field is designed to initially comprise six development wells linked to a leased mobile offshore production unit (MOPU). The sales gas will be transported via a 59-kilometre-long, approximately 18-inch diameter pipeline to the KF platform at neighboring Kakap PSC, and then via the WNTS pipeline for delivery to the Indonesian domestic market.

Under the binding contract, PT PAL Indonesia will deliver all detailed engineering works required for the FEED retrofit, finalize the complete CSF design, including transportation and installation engineering, procurement of all outsourced materials, fabrication and assembly of the jacket and topside structures, as well as transportation to the offshore site.

WNEL, earlier this month, You have entered into a binding contract with PT Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia Through the PDSI – ADES consortium to provide a drilling platform to support the development of the Mako gas field. As a result, the Admarine 502 standalone leg rig will be responsible for drilling the six development wells and installing the CSF.
