De Nora has announced the acquisition of BW Water to create a solutions-based platform to address global water challenges, according to the company.
The transaction became effective on July 1 after the conditions stipulated in the stock purchase agreement were met. The value of the deal amounted to 60.8 million US dollars.
De Nora said the purchase gives it access to BW Water’s connections in Southeast Asia and creates a clearer route to large turnkey projects that need end-to-end execution. These projects include semiconductor, mining, pharmaceutical, food and water desalination.
Paolo Dellaccia, CEO of De Nora, described the acquisition as a major milestone. “In addition to strengthening our position along the value chain and complementing our offerings with integrated solutions, this transaction allows us to enter new high-growth markets.”
De Nora is an Italian electrochemical technology company that builds solutions for water management and industrial processes around the world.
