Based in Vancouver The first element is hydrogen and important metals (CSE: EONE) has unveiled a significant new digital model that promises to change how companies identify natural underground hydrogen accumulations.
Element One Hydrogen and Critical Minerals operates as a Canadian company specializing in the exploration, development and commercialization of natural hydrogen and critical mineral resources, along with innovative hydrogen generation technologies. The company operates several projects, including the Foggy Mountain biomineral project and additional projects in Alaska and British Columbia that hold promise for producing hydrogen through subsurface catalysis and extraction of important battery minerals.
Dr. Allegra Hosford Shearer created the special model by studying the complex natural processes that control how hydrogen is formed, moved and trapped underground. This technological advance enhances Element One’s exploration capabilities as the company expands its operations throughout Canada and the United States.
“Dr. Hosford Shearer’s work provides a robust and scalable framework for understanding where geological hydrogen systems are most likely to occur,” said Brad Kitchen, CEO of Element One. “Allegra combines deep scientific insight with advanced data integration to create this model that puts Element One at the forefront of hydrogen exploration.”
The innovative forecast model combines different geophysical and geological data sets, and includes gravity surveys, magnetic surveys, and comprehensive structural geological analyses. The system assigns quantitative weights to these different data sources, allowing it to identify geological conditions that favor hydrogen generation and storage. This methodology gives Element One the ability to systematically evaluate and classify target areas based on their hydrogen potential.
Element One is currently applying the model to refine its hydrogen accumulation acquisition strategy. The company is targeting promising land sites across key jurisdictions in the United States and Western Canada, with the goal of securing three to four land packages. Following the completion of these acquisitions, Element One plans to commence ground exploration activities, leading to the development and execution of drilling programmes. This data-driven methodology should enhance exploration efficiency, reduce risk and accelerate progress on high-quality hydrogen opportunities.
