Epiroc has appointed two new members to the group’s management team. Ulrika Areskog Lilja will join as Senior Vice President, Brand and Communications, while Katarina Nilsson has been appointed as the new Senior Vice President, People and Leadership. Together, they will succeed Nadim Bencer, outgoing senior vice president of brand, communications and human resources, who is retiring after nearly 35 years with Epiroc.

Nelson will lead the company’s human resources. She currently serves as Vice President of People, Leadership and SHEQ for Epiroc’s Underground Division. She will begin her new position on September 1, 2026.

Lilja will oversee Epiroc’s brand and communications strategy. She most recently worked as Head of Brand, Marketing and Communications at Swedish bank Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB). She is scheduled to assume this role on November 2, 2026.

“I want to thank Nadim for his excellent contributions during his long career with the group,” said Helena Hedblom, President and CEO of Epiroc. “He has been an essential part of our success and a valuable colleague and member of the Group’s management. I look forward to welcoming Ulrika Areskog Lilja to Epiroc and working more closely with Katarina Nilsson.”

With these changes, the Epiroc Group’s management team has increased from six to seven members.
