Euroseas Ltd announces an order to build two additional 1,800 TEU ships.

Euroseas Ltd., a container ship owner and operator and provider of ocean transportation of containerized cargo, today announced its options for the construction of two additional modern fuel-efficient, gearless, 1,800 TEU vessels, to be built at Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd, in China. The vessels are scheduled to be delivered in December of 2028 and March of 2029. Total consideration for each vessel is approximately $32.26 million and will be financed with a combination of debt and equity.

Aristides Petas, Chairman and CEO of Euroseas, commented: “We are very pleased to announce the order for two additional 1,800 TEU gearless vessels, sister ships to the two we ordered in April 2026. These orders reflect our ongoing commitment to modernizing and renewing the disciplined fleet. The market for feeder and container vessels below 6,000 TEU remains particularly tight. In addition to the low order book for this sector and the existing fleet Old, we continue to see a compelling business case for investing in this ship class and believe the structural fundamentals remain favourable.
