Green Instruments is ensuring significant growth and setting the course for further progress

Green Instruments is exceeding its own expectations and will emerge stronger in 2025 with significant growth in top line and earnings. This positive development is mainly due to increased demand for innovative products and solutions that can make shipping more environmentally friendly.

More stringent environmental and safety requirements for international shipping increase the need for accurate measurements and documentation of emissions such as greenhouse gas emissions from ships. This has an impact on Danish company Green Instruments, which specializes in technology for emission control, water and gas monitoring, hazard detection and energy optimization in the shipping industry.

Green Instruments just filed its 2025 annual report with significant growth in top line and earnings. Gross profit increased to DKK 107 million compared to DKK 87.8 million in 2024, representing an increase of 22 percent. Meanwhile, profits rose to DKK 52.1 million – an increase of 58 percent compared to the previous year, when profits amounted to DKK 33 million. Over the past four years, total profits have increased by 64 percent, while profits have increased by 167 percent.

“We are pleased with the significant progress achieved in 2025 that has exceeded our expectations. We have been able to strengthen our sales of high-quality products to the international shipping industry, where there is a growing awareness of the importance of measuring CO2 and methane emissions, for example, rather than being satisfied with uncertain calculations. In addition, we have concluded a number of reasonable service agreements with customers,” says CEO Rene Bredemus Christensen of Green Instruments and continues:

“We are also seeing increased demand from customers who previously used non-genuine spares as systems subsequently failed. This has resulted in significant costs for shipowners. As a result, these customers are now choosing genuine spares because they realize they offer greater reliability, increased quality, and better long-term economy.”

Strong global position and growing demand
Green Instruments is experiencing high activity across markets – in particular, demand for the company’s solutions is growing in Europe and Asia. Among other things, Green Instruments is strongly positioned for success in international growth markets since the company has its own system with employees in China and Singapore, among other places.

This growth is due at least to more stringent environmental and safety requirements for global shipping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the coming years. This increases the need for accurate measurements and documentation that gives shippers an overview of where they can take action to comply with requirements. Green Instruments has many years of experience developing technological solutions that can contribute to green shipping, and the industry is becoming more aware of this.

As a result, the company is increasingly invited to speak at conferences, underscoring its role as a knowledge center in emissions measurement and marine technology.

Innovation and efficiencies drive growth
One of the main explanations for this growth is Green Instruments’ focus on innovation and strong internal efficiencies.

– We have placed great emphasis on research and development activities to ensure that our customers continue to receive the most innovative and competitive products and solutions. “Our focus on being at the forefront of product and service development through strategic investments in cutting-edge technologies ensures we can lead our industry and maintain our reputation for delivering high-quality solutions to our customers,” says Rene Bredemus Christensen.

All expertise is managed internally at Green Instruments, which has employees at sites in Denmark, the United States and China, and Rene Bredemus Christensen confirms that the company’s highly specialized employees are the main reason for its success.

Although the marine industry is characterized by uncertainty and change, Green Instruments is optimistic about the future. With a clear strategy, strong market position and increasing global demand, the company believes there is potential for growth in the coming years.
