Hitachi and Yanmar look forward to cooperating in the field of compact equipment under the new letter of intent

Hitachi Construction Machinery Corporation (TSE: 6305) Signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Yanmar Holdings To explore cooperation in the field of embedded equipment.

In a press release, the Japan-based companies said the agreement aims to “leverage the strengths” of Yanmar’s combined equipment business unit and Hitachi’s global business infrastructure to enhance product competitiveness and deliver more value to customers. The companies did not publish further commercial or financial terms.

Hitachi said the letter of intent is designed to help expand the operational capacity of both companies while maintaining the uniqueness of their respective brand identities. Each company will continue its own independent dealer networks.

For Hitachi, this announcement comes as the company prepares to change its brand to Landcross In April 2027. During the 2026 Dealer Meeting, Hitachi said the transformation represents an expanded vision focused on innovative solutions and global partnerships in the construction, mining, quarrying and infrastructure industries.
