US marine engineering and construction specialist McDermott has achieved success and secured its place in the group of contractors selected by Saudi Aramco for a long-term project management consulting (PMC) agreement to support the delivery of large-scale energy, downstream, petrochemical and low carbon projects across Saudi Arabia.

McDermott, through McDermott Nederland, has been selected by Aramco as one of 11 contractors selected for the multi-year PMC LTA, which positions the US player as a provider of engineering and project management services within the Saudi player’s strategic investment programmes.

This agreement allows McDermott to leverage its global delivery model and technical expertise to provide engineering, front-end development (pre-FEED and FEED) and project management consulting services.
This step also establishes a strategic partnership between the company and… Solution Leaders Fayez Engineering (SLFE), A Saudi engineering company and ARAMCO+ (GES+) certified general engineering services contractor.
This collaboration combines the American company’s global experience in implementing complex, capital-intensive projects with SLFE’s strong presence in the Kingdom and local implementation capabilities.

Through the McDermott-SLFE partnership, projects will be implemented using an integrated delivery model outside and within the Kingdom, enabling effective implementation while achieving Aramco’s localization goals and In-Kingdom Total Value Added (IKTVA) goals.
While SLFE will play a key role in engineering and customer support within Saudi Arabia, McDermott will lead end-to-end implementation planning, governance and technical leadership through its existing global engineering centres.
