Melkior Resources drills Bonanza Gold Zones 1010 and Zamzam-Jowsey Prospect at Carscallen Gold Property, Ontario – Resource World Magazine

Melchior Resources Company (TSXV: Poor; OTC: McRave) announced the commencement of a 10-hole drilling program totaling more than 3,000 meters at the 100% owned Carscallen Gold Project located approximately 25 km west of Timmins, Northern Ontario.

Exploration Highlights: The 10-hole drilling program will focus on expanding high-grade gold zones at the 1010 South, 1010 North, Zamzam and Josie Gold plays from historic drill holes. One of the holes will also test new gold opportunities in the Northwest Prospect – an unexplored area located 500 meters north of the 1010 North Zone, which has the same magnetism and IP chargeability/resistivity response as other gold-mined zones at Carscallen.

The proposed four-hole drilling operation totaling 1,250 meters in the 1010 North and 1010 South areas will test the lateral and vertical extensions of gold grade gold intersecting from hole MKR-24-002, which intersected 77.4 g/t gold at 6.90 metres, including 445.0 g/t gold at 1.20 meters at 1010 South.

The addition of a five-hole drilling program totaling 1,630 meters in the Zamzam-Gusi zones will test the stability of higher-grade ore shoots along strike and dip from previous drilling programmes. The proposed drilling depth ranges between 150 meters and 600 metres.

The drilling rig from Forage DCB, a Quebec-based company, will be mobilized to the Carscallen property in mid-April 2026. The drilling program is expected to be completed within 6-8 weeks. The first set of screening results is expected by the end of June.

Melchior was awarded a three-year exploration drilling permit (PR-25-00104) in October 2025 by the Ontario Ministry of Energy and Mines to support this exploration program.

Keith James Delos, Director, said: “We are very pleased to commence our drilling program at the Carscallen property which builds on the excellent drilling results from Zone 1010 of hole MKR-24-002, and the continuation of the drilling/exit campaign in the high-grade Zamzam Jozi zone. We are confident that the systematic, corridor-scale drilling we have undertaken at the Carscallen property will produce exciting results, show continuity of high-quality drilling mineralization along strike and at depth, and provide significant growth in line with the Company’s objectives.

Located more than 1.2 km northeast of Block 1010, the Zamzam-Gusi area is an orogenic quartz sulphide vein network with high-grade structural concentration and steep slope associated with strong silica carbonate and sericite alteration. This mineral corridor with the addition of the Shenkman area to the south is more than 1.50 km long, with confirmed vertical continuity to a depth of at least 400 metres. Previous drilling at the property supports corridor-scale exploration with strong potential for developing high-grade ore release along subducting structural intersections and within unexplored portions of the deformation zone. Gold mineralization remains open in multiple directions.

Metal structures are characterized by near-vertical shear zones, brittle and ductile deformation fabrics, localized stretching associated with folds, divergences, and efficiency anisotropy. Gold occurs within quartz±carbonate±sulphide veins and veins that exhibit bulging and bulging geometries, anastomosing vein arrays, and local hardening of the host rock. Sulphide mineralization typically includes pyrite ± peridotite, with minor chalcopyrite. Gold exists as visible free gold and as fine-grained inclusions associated with sulfide minerals.

Overall, gold mineralization with excellent gold grades at the Carscallen property coincided with strong alteration, structure-controlled magnetic zones that overlap with IP chargeability and resistivity. These typical geophysical responses are common to most gold shows and alteration zones.

Gold Zone 1010 consists of multiple zones of anastomosing, shear-hosted quartz sulphide veins, which are locally overlain by variable silica-albite-sericite stock breccia mineralization at the surface. The golden areas are often steep and show a bulge and bulge position, reaching more than 500 meters in length in a northerly direction.

In longitudinal north-south section, the mineralization at the 1010 gold zone appears folded, with 1010N dipping north and 1010S dipping south. Recent surface exploration work is focused on testing new gold opportunities along strike and expanding well-developed gold-bearing mineralization outside the main Zamzam-Gusi-Shenkman structural corridor, with additional high-grade ore shoots along a series of recurrent mineralized shears such as the 1010 zone.

The Northwest Zone is an unexplored area located approximately 500 meters north of the 1010 Gold Shows, and is characterized by overlapping clusters of soil gold anomalies, highly modified magnetism, and concurrent moderate IP chargeability and resistivity. It is planned to drill a shallow hole 250 meters deep to test the potential for gold mineralization in the area.

Mineral Corridor 1010, which extends towards the Northwest Prospect area to the north, has the potential to extend the structural corridor more than 1.2 km along strike which is similar to the Zamzam-Guzi-Shenkman trend.

Melkior Resources operates in world-class mining jurisdictions across Quebec and Ontario. exploration.

Melchior’s main projects include the Carscallen Project, the Pechevre East Project, the Genex Project, and the Val d’Or Project. These projects are strategically located in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, which is known to contain large deposits of gold and base metals.
