Metso, a Finland-based industrial machinery manufacturer, has received a repeat order to replace and upgrade a railcar dumper for a mining company in the Asia-Pacific region.
According to Mitso, the order has been booked for the first quarter of 2026 and is the second from this customer, as his first order is currently in the delivery phase. The shipment is worth €10 million and includes a new, fully assembled roll cage.
The recurring nature of this order reflects the customer’s confidence in the company, said Kai Ronberg, Metso’s vice president of sales and service. “Metso previously modernized a customer’s first railcar line of tippers and has maintained their railcar handling system for many years, so we are very pleased to be chosen again to modernize their second line of tippers,” Ronberg said.
“Metsu’s solution gives customers access to market-leading technology, enhance operational safety, reduce environmental impact, and benefit from best-in-class after-sales service for their material handling equipment,” added Sushanta Dutta, Vice President, Bulk Handling, Metso.
Rail wagon dumpers remain a key part of Metso’s bulk material handling offerings, supporting efficient and reliable material unloading in mining operations, according to the company.
