Norway-based companies Omega Subsea and AGR have established a long-term partnership for marine surveying and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services in the North Sea.

Omega Subsea will provide integrated ROV and surveying capabilities aboard the 2005-built 89.3-meter multi-purpose offshore support vessel Aquaman II, including a work-class ROV system, offshore personnel, operational technology and subsea support equipment, and will provide dedicated surveying services aboard Ross Eagle as part of AGR’s expanding offshore operations.
The collaboration will see Omega Subsea support ship-based subsea operations, including plugging and abandonment (P&A), cable campaigns, inspection works and decommissioning projects.
“This partnership represents an important step for Omega Subsea as we continue to expand our operational capabilities and offshore service offerings. Together with AGR, we are creating a robust and flexible setup that combines offshore operations, ROV services, surveying and offshore execution expertise to support growing demand in the North Sea market.” He said Trond BergCEO of Omega Subsea.
The agreement includes an initial contract term of two years as well as extension options.
During operations, the collaboration may also utilize Omega Subsea’s operational setup in Bergen, including logistics, warehousing, port access and remote operational support through the company’s Remote Operations Center (ROC).
“We see strong potential in this collaboration and look forward to developing effective offshore solutions together with AGR. By combining operational expertise, technology and skilled personnel, we are creating a highly capable platform for future offshore operations.” Berg He said.
