OMRON Robotics will showcase the next generation of its LD Series autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), in Chicago, at Automate 2026, June 22-25.

AMRs are self-driving machines used in industrial environments to move products, dynamically adapting to changing layouts and obstacles without human intervention. AMRs are often used at mining sites in hazardous transportation, drilling, blasting and inspection operations.

OMRON said its new models – the LD-150 and LD-300 – offer additional performance, uptime, navigation capabilities and fleet integration to support moving high-throughput materials in challenging production settings.

Justin King, Vice President of Product Management, Marketing and Business Development at OMRON, added that the new series gives users greater flexibility in tight spaces and charges faster than previous versions. “Manufacturers are under pressure to move materials faster while adapting to labor constraints, changing layouts and increased productivity requirements,” King said.

At Automate OMRON, partners will offer AMRs with premium modules operating in coordinated manufacturing processes and logistics workflows.

Models are expected to begin shipping in the fourth quarter of 2026.
