OptiSeis Solutions Ltd. Successfully completes an innovative, ultra-low-impact seismic survey along the Lake McLaren Fault Zone at Canuc’s ESP Project (East Sudbury Project) in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada – Elevating the future of mineral exploration

Innovative 3D seismic survey

OPTISIS SOLUTIONS LIMITED. ((Optisys“or the “Company”) announces the successful completion of an innovative seismic survey for mineral exploration along the northern section of the Lake McLaren Fault Zone at the Cannock East Sudbury Project located within the Greater Sudbury region of Ontario, Canada – one of the leading and most recognized mining regions in the world. The seismic survey was completed by Optisys It provided a rich, high-quality subsurface dataset that will now be used to target large-scale regional mineral potential along the Lake McLaren fault zone (Figure 2 – ESP fault structures and survey area).

Scanning accuracy and efficiency

The seismic survey program covered approximately 13.5 kilometers of the total line length – with every meter of seismic survey conducted along existing roads to minimize environmental disturbance and community impact. The field operations were completed in just seven days and were carried out safely and without a single incident, a testament to OptiSeis’s disciplined approach that puts safety first in field execution.

The next generation of low-impact technology

The survey demonstrated a state-of-the-art acquisition design built on 1,355 independent nodal sensors spread across the project area. Seismic energy was generated by an array of two IVI microvibrators – a controlled, environmentally responsible energy source – and over the course of the programme, more than 2,700 seismic source points were recorded in the ground-based sensor array, generating a dense, detailed image of the subsurface.

Distinguished scientific cooperation

In conjunction with the surface program, the vertical seismic profile (VSP) was acquired. Natural resources in Canada (NRCan). VSP recorded seismic energy on fiber optic cable installed within three centrally located boreholes – a unique opportunity to capture complementary data sets that may enhance subsurface characterization and contribute to ongoing geoscience research. Program objectives
