Uritera Metals Company (TSXV: I love you; OTCID: otmkv; FSE: D4R0; WKN: A421RQ) said its geological team had been mobilized to Bronson Camp, near the company’s new, large-scale copper and gold exploration site at Trek South, in British Columbia.
The Trek South target was only recently exposed by melting glacial ice and is located adjacent to the giant Teck-Newmont Galore Creek deposit in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle. From Bronson Camp, initial preparations are being made to set up a training camp at Trek South, with construction of the camp starting on July 16 and drilling expected to begin with two exercises around the end of the month. The summer work program will also aim to develop several other promising VMS porphyry copper, gold and Eskay Creek targets in the Trek-Galore Creek area.
“The road ahead in the near term looks really exciting,” said Kevin Keogh, CEO. “Trek South has all the hallmarks of a significant discovery in the pipeline, and we very much look forward to bringing drills directly into the alteration, copper mineralization, and outstanding mineral values in bare rock at the surface. We have an outstanding field team led by John Pieczuk, our Vice President of Exploration, and will soon have a full complement of field staff on site, with camp and drilling operations managed by Equity Exploration Consultants in Vancouver. Further updates will be provided as the progress program, with initial drilling results expected in August.”
“The porphyry copper-gold deposits targeted by Oreterra in the Golden Triangle typically occur in clusters,” said John Pieczuk, vice president of exploration. “We are fortunate in the Trek project to have not only the new Trek South prospect and the well-known Trek North porphyry area nearby, but also several nearby unexplored prospects which we will also seek to advance from our base in Trek South.”
2026 Exploration Targets – Trip Feature: In addition to the first ever drilling program on the 1.6 km wide porphyry target in the Trek South area, which is defined by extensive and intense induced polarization charge potential, synchronous magnetic upwelling, synchronous telluric magnetic anomalies, extensive exposure of porphyry-type alteration, veining, visible copper mineralization and values of copper, gold, silver and other elements, several nearby unexploded horizons will be discovered. The explorer. It is also evaluated. These targets include the Tundra Zone porphyry target, located 1 km west of Trek South, the Tomb Zone porphyry target, located 1.3 km north of Trek South, and the Toe Zone Eskay Creek VMS target, located 600 meters west of Trek South.
GW property: Regarded as Oreterra’s most promising porphyry prospect outside of Trek’s claims, the JW claim is located just 6 km northwest of the billion-ton Galore Creek deposit currently undergoing pre-feasibility studies by the Teck-Newmont JV. The claim is completely surrounded by Teck-Newmont intervals. In August, a contract geological crew will conduct an 8-10 day mapping and sampling program across the target area.
Red Line Property: The company’s work on the Red Line claims in 2023, located southeast of Trek, led to the discovery of a previously undocumented syenite pluton that closely resembles major intrusions in the Galore Creek and Burgundy Ridge porphyry deposits. Mapping and sampling planned for this field season will be the first comprehensive examination of this interesting target.
Oreterra Metals primarily focuses on gold, copper and silver. The Company has several wholly-owned copper and gold opportunities in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle, the most significant of which is the newly identified Trek South prospect located southeast of Teck-Newmont’s Galore Creek project, which is currently undergoing pre-feasibility studies.
Following a highly successful $9.7 million financing closed earlier in the year, the first two-phase drilling program, approximately 10,000 meters at Trek South, is now fully funded for implementation starting on 16 July 2026. Drilling will test the 1.6 km wide zone of porphyry style alteration, mineralization, mineralogy values, IP and MT contemporaneous strength and magnetic anomalies present at Trek South. In addition, the first significant exploration work since 2007 is now planned in Oreterra’s JW area, located 6 km northwest of Galore Creek.
Additional wholly-owned interests include two former producers in Nevada: the Kinkaid claims in the Walker Lane trend covering several shallow Au-Cu-Ag workings on what are believed to be one or more porphyry cores, and the Scossa mine property in the Sleeper trend which is a former high-grade gold producer.
The Company also has a 100% interest in the extensive Lundmark-Akow Lake Au-Cu property adjacent to the northwest of the Musselwhite mine, where the Company’s drilling has produced very encouraging and extensive VMS-style Au-Cu intersections.
Oreterra also maintains an ongoing interest in several properties including a 2% NSR on McEwen Mining’s Hislop gold property in Ontario and a 2% NSR on Enduro Metals’ Newmont Lake Au-Cu-Ag property in British Columbia.
