RWE will conduct a pre-installation survey at the Vanguard West OWF site


A pre-installation survey campaign is set to begin at RWE’s 1.4GW Vanguard West offshore wind site in the UK.

According to a notice to mariners issued by the developer, the survey vessel Breaker is expected to be mobilized on or around June 15 to conduct a pre-installation survey within the project group area.

The campaign is scheduled to last for about a month, with the ship operating around the clock from the port of Den Helder.

RWE secured contracts for difference (CfD) for two of its three Norfolk projects, Vanguard West and Vanguard East, in the UK government’s seventh CfD round (AR7) in January this year.
