Texas LNG Brownsville, part of Glenfarne Group, has granted a conditional license to Kiewit Energy Group (KOS), a construction and engineering services provider, to work on a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project being developed at the Port of Brownsville, Texas.

Glenfarne subsidiary, responsible for development Texas LNG An export terminal at the Port of Brownsville, presented by Kiewit, as a project Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contractor, with limited notice to proceed (LNTP).
The LNTP covers purchase orders for long-term equipment, engineering activities for the EPC phase, and geotechnical works required to prepare the LNG project for full construction and final investment decision (FID).

Texas LNG executed a lump-sum EPC agreement with Kiewit and received a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) permit to build and operate. The LNTP orders build on recent milestones for the Texas LNG Project and support continued development progress toward delivering reliable, low-emission U.S. LNG to global markets.
Glenfarne’s total permitted LNG portfolio in North America is 32.8 million tons per year, and is under development in AlaskaLouisiana and Texas.
