The Baltic Stock Exchange’s dry index rose 4.1% to 3,189 on Wednesday, the highest level since November 2023.
The ship volume index, which typically transports 150,000 tons of cargo, including iron ore and coal, jumped 5.1% to 5,340.
The Panamax, which typically carries 60,000 to 70,000 tons of coal or grain, rose 4% to 2,454.
The Supramax index also rose by 1.2% to 1,553.
