Abu Dhabi-headquartered ADNOC Drilling, one of the Middle East’s integrated drilling and drilling services (IDS) providers, has taken delivery of the first artificial intelligence (AI)-powered robotic island platform, accelerating autonomous offshore operations in the UAE.

The platform’s automated walking capability allows it to move seamlessly between well sites without dismantling, while automation systems, such as automated pipe handling and AI-powered monitoring, help reduce employee exposure in complex operating environments.
