US corporate insiders sell record $77,600,000,000 worth of stock during the first half of 2026.


Corporate insiders unloaded a massive amount of stock worth tens of billions of dollars in the first six months of the year.

Corporate insiders sold a total of $77.6 billion in the first half of the year, representing a 20% increase over the same period in 2025. Reports Al Qubaisi’s message.

Despite the huge sale by companies, Al Qubaisi’s message He says Big Tech’s market dominance remains unchallenged, with the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sector now accounting for a record 49% of the S&P 500 market capitalization.

“This represents approximately 9 percentage points higher than the peak of the dot-com bubble in 2000 and approximately 20 percentage points higher than the high of the late 1960s.

The technology sector now carries more weight than the financial, cyclical and defensive sectors combined.

In comparison, TMT made up only about 19% of the S&P 500 during the 2008 financial crisis.
