The new 1,200 square meter site in Dyce, which opened on May 21, more than doubles its operational size compared to its former Bridge of Don base, which served as the company’s headquarters for more than 35 years, Oceanscan said.

The newly renovated engineering facility features advanced non-destructive testing and subsea calibration capabilities. According to the Aberdeen-headquartered company, the facility also brings together complementary capabilities across Venterra Group’s wider network under one roof, including those from INSPIRE Environmental and HPR, enhancing operational collaboration and service delivery.

“This move represents an exciting leap forward for Oceanscan. We have built on years of work from our former Bridge of Don base to create a facility that reflects the momentum we are seeing across Scotland, the UK and Europe, and the growing needs of our customers. With more space, more equipment and enhanced capacity under one roof, we are ideally placed to support overseas campaigns with the same friendly Oceanscan approach our customers know and trust.” said Oceanscan Group CEO Derek Donaldson.

“The opportunity across the region is significant, and we are excited to continue building alongside our colleagues across the Venterra Group. Our commitment to our people is at the heart of our new facility. With modern workspaces and additional amenities, including an on-site gym, we have created a space that supports well-being and team collaboration, making Oceanscan a great place to work.”

Furthermore, Oceanscan’s workforce in Aberdeen has increased to 57 employees, with space to support an additional 30 roles across engineering, operations, sales and finance functions.
