The board of French geophysical services company Viridien has appointed Henning Berg as the company’s new CEO and director.
ViridianBerg’s Board of Directors appointed Berg to the position of CEO following the general meeting held on June 3, succeeding Sophie Zarqia, who will remain Chairman of the Board.
Zarqia joined the company in February 2013 as Senior Executive Vice President of the Geology and Geophysics Reservoirs (GGR) segment and subsequently Chief Operating Officer (COO) responsible for GGR’s business lines, global operational excellence and technology. In April 2018, she was appointed as the company’s CEO, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 30, 2025.

Prior to joining Viridien as COO in March 2026, Berg served as President and Vice President across SLB’s four major global businesses.
