Western Star Resources Company (Private search engine: WSR) (Over-the-counter: WSRIF) (FRA: 4K2) (the “Company” or “Western Star”) is pleased to announce that it has appointed KC Harvey Environmental, LLC (“KC Harvey”) to lead drilling permits at the 100% owned and formerly producing Rowland Tungsten property in Elko County, Nevada, USA, and has commenced initial engagement with the Mountain City – Ruby Mountains – Jarbidge Ranger District in Elko County, Nevada, USA. Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest to support operations plan submission.
KC Harvey is an environmental consulting firm based in Bozeman, Montana, specializing in mining permits, reclamation, and NEPA support throughout the western United States. The company’s mining services are led by founder Kevin Harvey, MS, a board-certified professional soil scientist and current president of the American Society of Mining and Reclamation. KC Harvey participated in the preparation and submission of the Operations Plan (USDA Forest Service Form FS-2800-5, under 36 CFR 228A) covering the Company’s proposed Phase II drilling program at Rowland, and to support the associated National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review process.

An operations plan is the primary authorization required from the U.S. Forest Service to conduct drilling on National Forest System lands. KC Harvey’s scope of work includes preparing the operations plan, supporting environmental baseline and reclamation planning, and coordinating the NEPA review process with the USFS. The Company intends to submit the application in parallel with the statewide reclamation permit and existing Phase I and II exploration programs at Rowland, and will provide further updates as the plan of operations is submitted and as the permit review progresses.
