The mission has been extended by Norwegian energy giant Equinor, which is being carried out on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) by one of its Tow Supply Ships (AHTS) owned by DOF Group, a national operator of a fleet of advanced vessels for the energy and maritime sectors.

The Department of Finance has confirmed the extension of the contract to Ahts Scandi Vega With Equinor. As a result, the vessel will remain for another two years with the Norwegian giant, with the vessel remaining occupied until the third quarter of 2029.
Mons SDOF Group CEO commented: “We are pleased to see Skandi Vega extended by two years, building on an already very strong backlog of DOF for the coming years.
“The vessel has been with Equinor since it was built in 2010, and we are pleased to continue providing value to them by providing first-class services.”
Built in 2010, AHTS Skandi Vega is designed to handle deep water anchorage during challenging environmental conditions. The ship’s first gig with Equinor began 16 years ago.
This vessel is 109 meters long, with a working swimming pool, working deck area of 1070 square metres, anchor recovery frame, main winch capacity 500 tons, secondary winch 170 tons and pulling force 350 tons.
The contract extension with Equinor comes shortly after the DOF I got the contract With TotalEnergies for subsea construction, mooring, FSO separation, and connection to a replacement FSO.
